Sarver

John Sarver, 90, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025.

He was born in Butler on Aug. 4, 1934, to the late William and Dolly (McKissick) Sarver.

John was employed at Pennsylvania Water Company for almost 40 years until his retirement. He was known for being a wonderful man, a hard worker, and a proud husband and father. John enjoyed playing the lottery, watching Pittsburgh sports teams, maintaining his property and loved to cut grass.

John was the beloved husband of the late Deloris “Dorie” (McCune) Sarver for 61 years until her passing in 2023; and brother of Ralph (Diane) Sarver, Ronald (Jill) Sarver, Dolly (Mickey) Rubin and Ed (Connie) Sarver. He is also survived by his beloved sister-in-law, Esther (John) Daly.

Along with his parents and wife, John was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Sarver; son, John Sarver Jr.; and siblings, Jane, Hazel, Tom, Woody, Charles and Raymond.

SARVER — All services for John Sarver, who died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

Burial was held privately in West Sunbury Cemetery.
