Trump not delivering on promises

As I man political booths at Butler County fairs, home shows in Butler, Cranberry Township and Zelienople, I heard the same three reasons locals were going to vote for President Donald Trump:

1. He can fix the inflationary raises in food, energy and housing.

2. He would stop the Russian/Ukraine war in his first 24 hours in office.

3. He would close the southern border.

Instead, all his executive orders in his first week in office did none of these things.

Returning immigrants does not close our border nor is it fixing the southern border; Sen. James Laughford, R-Okla., provided that plan one year ago but Trump trashed it through his cronies in Congress.

Now, Trump says he needs about six months to stop Russian aggression in Ukraine.

And he also backtracked on reversing inflation as promised because it’s “too hard to do” per his Time interview.

Pardoning the Jan. 6 criminals was not on any reasonable citizen’s list and many members of the Republican Congress have also said it was horrendous; it was even too outlandish to be included in Project 2025!

History will rank Trump as the second or first worst president if he doesn’t recognize the error on the pardons for Jan. 6 criminals.

Ron Koch Sr., Butler
