George Mitchell
George R. Mitchell, 73, of Cabot, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Wexford.
Born Feb. 27, 1951, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Clair Mitchell and Elizabeth (Gordon) Mitchell.
George was known by many names by his friends, family and co-workers, depending on how you knew him. The most common ones were George, Bob, Mitch, Robby or Rob. George proudly served in the U.S. Army in Germany during Vietnam. He had worked as a mechanic for Rudolph’s Auto Repair and in the maintenance department at UPMC Passavant. George had a love and passion for racing and anything automotive.
Surviving are his longtime partner, Lora Berry of Pittsburgh; four sons, Robert Mitchell of Butler, Ryan Mitchell of Butler, David Mitchell of Cabot and Drew Mitchell of Cabot; his brother, Daniel (Loretta) Mitchell of Valencia; and his sister, Donna Mitchell of Butler.
MITCHELL — Services for George R. Mitchell, who died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Chapel at Holy Savior Cemetery, 4629 Bakerstown Road, Gibsonia, with the Rev. William Dambach officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to Good Samaritan Hospice, 146 Neely School Road, Wexford, PA 15090. Flowers are not allowed in chapel.
