SUMMIT TWP — Supervisors approved two quotes at their regular meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 5, alongside other actions.

■ The board approved a quote from Wiest Asphalt & Paving for the rental of paving equipment. The quote was given as an hourly rate for each of 10 different pieces of equipment. Utilization depends on the needs of the township.

■ The board also approved a quote from Bradigan’s Inc. for fuel for their vehicles and equipment. Quotes based on 8,000 gallons of biodiesel fuel and 2,500 gallons of unleaded gasoline were both approved.

The quote for both the asphalt paving and fuel were the lowest offered to the township.

■ Summit Township tax collector Kathy Oesterling presented a new computer system being utilized by tax collectors across Butler County.

■ A salt contract for 2025-2026 was discussed but was tabled while officials calculate their necessary order size.

■ The board also tabled a service agreement on a wheel loader and compact truck.

The next Summit Township supervisors meeting is scheduled for Feb. 19 at 6:45 p.m.
