Paul D. Kramer

Kramer

Paul D. Kramer, 85, of Valencia, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025. Born Oct. 13, 1939, in Valencia, he was the son of the late Albert J. “Sonny” and Dorothy M. (Hundley) Kramer.

A. U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, Paul was an ironworker and longtime member of Ironworkers Local 3. He was proud to discuss all the buildings and construction projects he helped build in Pittsburgh, Indiana, Pa., and even at a main airport in Saudi Arabia. A proud Mason, he was a lifetime member of John E. Mair Lodge 729 F. & A.M., New Castle Consistory and Syria Shrine. Paul loved the outdoors, especially spending time at camp in Marienville, visiting Lake Erie, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, snow skiing with Philomena, and water skiing on the Allegheny River in his younger days. Paul was also a beekeeper, an animal lover and a train enthusiast, and he loved local history, especially about the Mars and Valencia boroughs.

He is survived by his daughter, Paula D. Roeschenthaler (Bob); two sons, Paul D. Kramer Jr. and Preston D. Kramer; a brother, Albert Kramer (Mary Anne); his favorite sister, Marilyn Kramer; his former wife and dear friend, Philomena Elter Kramer; dear friend, Mick Parker; and his beloved yellow labrador, Patches.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Eugene Kramer.

A special thanks to Suncrest Hospice, especially Tim and Yolanda, who took wonderful care of Paul.
