Police Reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
Jan. 23 — Ronald Lee Schaeffer, 49, of Evans City, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of failing to validly register a dog and five misdemeanor counts of failure to comply with the casino self-exclusion law related to a Nov. 25 incident. Police said Schaeffer has two dogs of dangerous breeds and failed to register, insure, microchip and spay or neuter them.
Nov. 27 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Joshua Maldanado Resto, 21, of New Castle, was driving a Toyota Corolla and rear-ended a Nissan NV200 occupied by Jammie L. Erlenback, 46, and Hayden J. Shahan, 25, both of New Castle, before fleeing the scene. Police charged Maldanado Resto with misdemeanor accident involving damage.
Dec. 13 — Police are requesting information related to the thefts of Lowe’s and Home Depot gift cards each valued at $2,400 in Muddy Creek Township.
Jan. 22 — Brandy Lynn Godber, 31, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol following a Dec. 12 incident in Center Township. Police said Godber had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.235%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Jan. 27 — David Francis Lewis, 58, of Butler, was charged with four misdemeanor DUI counts following a Dec. 24 crash in Summit Township. Police said Lewis had a blood alcohol content of 0.112%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Jan. 27 — Danuel L. Pridemore, 47, of Mercer, was charged with misdemeanor harassment related to a Jan. 11 incident in Oakland Township. Police said Pridemore violated a protection from abuse order.
Jan. 27 — Todd Laverenge Hovis, 59, of Chicora, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a Jan. 17 incident in Center Township. Police said they found a small amount of marijuana and a brown plastic smoking device when executing a search warrant on his vehicle Jan. 18.
Jan. 27 — Police investigated the theft of a 425-gallon water tank in Muddy Creek Township.
Jan. 28 — Austin J. McCarrell, 20, of Lower Burrell, was charged with three misdemeanor DUI counts following a Dec. 12 crash in Clinton Township. Police said McCarrell had a blood alcohol content of 0.097% and was using marijuana. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Jan. 23 — Larry D. Collingwood, 55, of Butler, was charged with three misdemeanor DUI counts, three misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia following a Nov. 29 traffic stop. Police said Collingwood had an active warrant out of Butler County, showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests and was in possession of yellow pills, suspected crack cocaine, suspected heroin and a suspected methamphetamine smoking pipe and crack pipe.
Jan. 17 — Robert Thomas Boosel, 33, of West Sunbury, was charged with misdemeanor DUI following a Jan. 9 incident. Police said Boosel had a blood alcohol content of 0.171%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Jan. 29 — Jennifer Gorz-Loonam, 50, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor DUI following a crash Jan. 16. Police said Gorz-Loonam had a blood alcohol content of 0.287%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Jan. 16 — Wilbert Carter, 65, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of identity theft, access device fraud and theft related to an Oct. 6 incident. Police said Carter made two transactions using a lost debit card.
Jan. 21 — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Hansen Avenue. Police said Christopher Srock, 61, of Butler, rear-ended Amy McClemens, 60, of Butler. Police said McClemens suffered a head injury and was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital.
Jan. 23 — Police investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of McCalmont and Meridian roads. Police said the vehicle of Shanna Austin, 45, of Saxonburg, struck the vehicle of Adaeze Aroh, 43, of Butler. Police said Aroh sustained minor injuries and was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital.
Jan. 25 — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on New Castle Road. Police said Catherine, Altman, 21, of West Sunbury, rear-ended Donald Thompson, 66, of Butler. Police said Altman’s brakes failed and cited her for an inspection violation.
Jan. 27 — Donald Ed Montgomery Jr., 38, of Petrolia, was charged with misdemeanor accident involving damage following a Jan. 15 crash. Police said Montgomery made an illegal left turn and crashed into another vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Jan. 27 — Thomas Lee Keener II, 47, of McKeesport, was charged with issuing a bad check related to a July 27 incident. Police said Keener issued a bad check and was unable to be contacted.
Jan. 30 — Eric E. Angerett, 46, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a Jan. 18 traffic stop. Police said they seized a small bag of crack cocaine, a glass crack pipe with burned residue and two empty baggies with white powder residue.
Jan. 23 — Pamela Corzine, 62, of Cranberry, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a Jan. 17 crash. Police said Corzine showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests but court records did not include the results of her legal blood draw.
Jan. 28 — Wendy Sue McManus, 47, of Evans City, was charged with two misdemeanor counts each of conspiracy to commit theft and conspiracy to receive stolen property related to a Nov. 25 incident. Police said a juvenile reported McManus stole a backpack worth about $60.
Jan. 27 — Aimee Lynne Wanner, 53, of Butler, was charged with four misdemeanor DUI counts following a Nov. 27 traffic stop. Police said Wanner had a blood alcohol content of 0.135% and had cocaine in her system. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Jan. 23 — Alexander Keith Smith, 25, of Slippery Rock, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a Jan. 23 traffic stop. Police said Smith had a blood alcohol content of 0.196%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
