Joann Fabrics and Crafts set to close 500 U.S. locations
Joann Fabrics and Crafts is closing more than 60% of its locations, including two in Butler County and several others in Western Pennsylvania.
Hudson, Ohio-based Joann Fabrics and Crafts announced it will be closing 500 of its 800 stores across 50 states after it filed for bankruptcy for the second time in January.
The company first declared bankruptcy in March 2024, while reporting between $1 billion and $10 billion in debt.
The two Butler County locations include its 160 Pullman Square store in Butler and its 20111 Route 19 store in Cranberry Township.
In total 12 locations are set to close across the Pittsburgh region, with 30 total stores set to close across Pennsylvania.
Joann Fabrics and Crafts did not announce an official closing date for any of its locations set to close.
