Independence Health System is hosting a Glitz and Glam Gala on Saturday, March 8, at Pittsburgh Marriot North.

The event is a black tie-optional dinner event meant to transport attendees to the roaring 1920s, as a fundraiser for the system to purchase a heart-lung machine for patients undergoing open-heart surgery.

The event includes dinner, specialty raffles, casino games and dancing. It takes place from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Pittsburgh Marriott North, 100 Cranberry Woods Drive, Cranberry Township. Larry Richert, host of the KDKA Morning Show, will emcee the event.

The cost for the event is $175 per person, and tickets can be purchased online at independence.health/giving, under Butler Memorial Hospital Foundation events.
