High school roundup: Slippery Rock swimming splits dual with Oil City
Mollie Massella was involved in four wins Thursday evening as Slippery Rock girls swimming beat Oil City 102-67.
The boys lost 98-39.
Massella claimed individual victories in the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.60) and 100 butterfly (59.49) and helped the 200 free relay (1:48.91) and 400 free relay (4:05.15) teams to touch the wall first.
Elise Cagle (100 backstroke, 200 medley relay, 200 free relay), Raely FaJohn (200 free relay, 50 free, 400 free relay), Tessa Szymanski (200 individual medley, 200 free relay, 400 free relay) and Maddy Gauselmann (200 medley relay, 100 free, 400 free relay) all won three events.
Roan Stauffer led the boys with victories in the 100 back and 50 free.
CJ Sabo scored 14 points, grabbed four rebounds and recorded five steals in Slippery Rock’s 45-35 win over Greenville.
Madison Romanovich added 14 points and seven boards in the win.
