Mary Carol Wilson
Mary Carol Wilson, 78, of Butler, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, and is now at peace with her late husband and son.
She was born Sept. 14, 1946, in Altoona, to the late Herman J. Bumgarner and Verna A. (Morris) Bumgarner.
Mary Carol graduated from Altoona High School. She was office manager for Shockey Mini Storage and an accountant for Shockey Excavating for over 20 years. Mary Carol was a faithful member of Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church and she enjoyed reading, writing and crocheting.
She is survived by a son, Frank (Kendra) Wilson; grandchildren, Leah, Jessica, Samantha, Keilynn and Allyshia; great-grandchildren, Jordin, Kendal, Kyra, Jocelynn, Jaydin, Colton, Spencer and Talon; daughter-in-law, Terri Wilson; a sister, Kathy Jo Garland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis L. Wilson Sr., whom she married Sept. 3, 1966, and who passed away April 14, 2023; son, Ken Wilson; sister, Arlene Wood; and brothers, Herman Bumgarner and Thomas Bumgarner.
WILSON — All services for Mary Carol Wilson, who died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, will be private per her wishes.
Memorial donations may be made in Mary Carol’s name to Prospect Borough Volunteer Fire Department at P.O. Box 516, Prospect, PA 16052.
