Police investigating ‘hit list’ at Lenape Elementary School

Police in Manor Township, Armstrong County, are investigating an alleged “hit list” containing names of students at Lenape Elementary School, along with graphic threats of violence against each student.

According to multiple reports, students have told their parents that an unidentified classmate created and showed them this “hit list.”

“School administration was made aware of an alleged list containing the names of other students and potential threats,” reads a statement issued to parents by Charles Kreinbucher, assistant superintendent of the Armstrong School District. “At this time, there is no known direct threat to any student. This incident is still under investigation by both school personnel and law enforcement, and if any additional facts become clear, we will inform parents.”

According to Kreinbucher, no physical list has been recovered yet over the course of the investigation.

On their Facebook page, the Manor Township Police Department reassured parents and residents that the threat was unsubstantiated.

“This case is in the process of being thoroughly investigated and the investigation is ongoing. The school and the community is safe,” the department wrote. “Because this case involves juveniles and the investigation is ongoing, there will be no further comment made on this case.”
