Rep. Bernstine introduces ‘two-tiered’ concealed-carry legislation
State Rep. Aaron Bernstine, R-8th, has introduced legislation which is intended to streamline the concealed-carry process for firearm owners in Pennsylvania.
The legislation, House Bill 454, consists of two major steps. The first step is to remove the requirement for residents to obtain a concealed-carry permit before carrying a concealed firearm. The second step would create a brand-new, totally optional license to carry a firearm permit. The new permit would allow individuals to carry concealed firearms in Pennsylvania and 32 other states.
The bill has been forwarded to the House Judiciary Committee for consideration.
