Armstrong County woman arrested in Mercer County
A woman from Parker has been charged in Mercer County after police said she attempted to stab and threw a knife at her former boyfriend in January.
State police in Mercer County charged Patience N. Wolfe, 35, with misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following the Jan. 17 incident in Pine Township.
Her ex-boyfriend told police that Wolfe came to his home during the early morning and he let her stay because she didn’t have anywhere else to go, but her behavior became increasingly erratic throughout the day, according to an affidavit.
During an argument, he said Wolfe shoved him into a wall and she attempted to take his vehicle, according to the affidavit.
He told police Wolfe tried to stab him with a utility knife when he tried to get her to exit the vehicle and then threw the knife at him when he walked away, according to the affidavit.
After he left and drove to a convenience store to call police, a trooper located Wolfe at the man’s home. She tried to flee and resisted attempts to place her in handcuffs, but she was subdued and taken into custody, according to the affidavit.
Wolfe admitted to having methamphetamine, which police found in her pocket along with a glass smoking device with residue inside, police said.
She was placed in the county prison in lieu of $50,000 bail. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled March 19.
