Marlea Irene Mathew, 85, of Harmony, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, while under the care of The Grove at Harmony.

Born Oct. 27, 1939, in Harrison Township, she was the daughter of the late Russell Lee and Alberta Brimmer Van Etten.

Marlea leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Lonny D. (Helen) Ross of Evans City and Kevin D. (Sharilyn) Mack of Evans City; her grandchildren, Chris (Heather) Ross, Angela (Bryan) Mattison, Kelvin (Emily) Mack and Michelle (Ryan) Szkrybalo; her great-grandchildren; her sister, Bonnie (Donald) Williammee; her brother-in-law, Jim (Barb) Mulligan; her sister-in-law, Mary Lou Van Etten; and many extended family and relatives.

In addition to her parents, Marlea was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard “Dick” Berry and Andrew J. Mathew; her sons, Russell Ross and Kelvin Mack; her sister, Donna Mulligan; and her brothers, Elwin (Helen) Van Etten and Carl Van Etten.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at The Grove for their care of Marlea.

MATHEW — As per her wishes, there will be no public visitation or services for Marlea Irene Mathew, who died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025.

Marlea will be laid to rest at English Lutheran Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
