Slater Nelson

Genevieve Slater Nelson, 97, of Valencia, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, at Concordia of Cabot.

Born April 3, 1927, in West Bend, Pa., she was the daughter of Jacob Roebuck and Caroline Roll Roebuck.

She was the owner of the Saxonburg Antique Store. She was proud to be a part of the World War II effort in manufacturing. She was a member of Holy Sepulcher Church. She enjoyed restoring old buildings, she also enjoyed farming and gardening.

Surviving are her three sons, Richard (Linda) Slater of Savannah, Ga., Jeffrey Slater of Valencia and Jonathan Slater of Saxonburg; and two grandsons, Daniel Slater of Saxonburg and Michael Slater of Atlanta, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Richard Slater and Andrew Nelson; her parents; and eight brother and sisters.
