Mary Rose Ogin
Mary Rose (McIlvain) Ogin, 76, of Butler, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, after a short illness at Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born Aug. 29, 1948, in Butler, a daughter of the late Homer McIlvain and Evelyn (Hagins) McIlvain
She retired in 2004 from the Butler County Assistance Office after 35 years, and then had worked at the Thomas Chiropractic office in Butler. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, going to the casino, and spending time with her family and her fur baby, Teddy. She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
Surviving are her husband, Terry Ogin, her son, Michael (Kimberly) Ogin, and her daughter, Maria (Barry) Rea, all of Butler; and three grandchildren, Kate Ogin, Kelsey Ogin and Kole Rea, all of Butler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John McIlvain; and sister-in-law, Joyce McIlvain.
OGIN — Friends of Mary Rose (McIlvain) Ogin, who died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A blessing service will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Butler.
