Thomas Williams
Thomas Dean Williams, 82, of Butler and Melbourne Beach, Fla., passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, at Holmes Medical Center.
Born Feb. 15, 1943, in Fredericksburg, Pa. he was the son of Dean and Ann (Rottman) Williams.
Tom graduated from Karns City High School in 1961 and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. After service, he attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, earning a degree in business education in 1968.
Following graduation, he began working at Carbis Walker CPA firm and passed the entire CPA exam on his first try. Later, Tom would work at Pittsburgh Plug and Products Corporation for 35 years, and was president upon retirement in 2009.
Tom was an avid golfer, and derived great joy from spending time with his children and grandchildren at home and on the links.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Deborah Jean Travaglio Williams; children, Robert (Lori) Williams, Christine (David) Mikan and Rachel (Erik) Lenyk, all of Butler, and Barrett-dean (Morgan) Williams of Sandy, Utah. He is also survived by a sister, Betty McCloskey; and his seven grandchildren, Paige Williams, Benjamin and Evan Mikan, Boden and Karsten Lenyk, and Kathryn and Marin Williams.
