Carole Ann Martin Oresick, 75, of Butler, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, peacefully passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler on Nov. 25, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Mabel A. Cypher Martin.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church.

Carole was known for her unwavering love and selfless support of her family, friends and community, always putting their needs first.

She loved bowling, bingo and supporting churches and community through countless basket raffles over the years.

Throughout her life she volunteered for many organizations, including St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Women of Grace, the Cherry Tree Gift Shoppe at Butler Memorial Hospital, the Saxonburg Women’s Club and the Elks Club of Butler.

Most of all, though, she loved spending time with her family, cooking, serving dinners, playing cards and loving the company of others.

She will be deeply missed by her family.

Carole is survived by her husband, Dennis C. Oresick, whom she married June 3, 1995; two sons, Dutch MacDonald and his wife, Becky Mingo, and Eric MacDonald and his wife, Kate Fox; two grandsons, Atticus MacDonald Mingo and Jace MacDonald and his wife, Hanna MacDonald; one granddaughter, Ashley Pickerel and her husband, Blake Pickerel; two great-grandsons, Cameron Pickerel and Maverick MacDonald; one great-granddaughter, Lillian Pickerel; two brothers, Dave Martin and his wife, Bonnie, and Gary Martin and his wife, Louise; two sisters, Marianne Collins and her husband, Lou, and Diane Greaves and her husband, Bob; a sister-in-law, Paula Martin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Maxwell MacDonald Mingo and Tobias MacDonald Mingo; and one brother, Alan Martin.

ORESICK — Friends of Carole Ann Martin Oresick, who died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler, with the Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.
