Emeline E. McCoy, 84, of Grove City, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, Feb. 21, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Emeline was born in Mercer Township, Butler County, July 18, 1940, and was the daughter to Nathan Roy and Annie Emeline (Blain) Patterson.

She was a graduate of Harrisville High School, and she was a lifelong member of Harmony Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Emeline was a homemaker and farmed on the family property.

She was a Girl Scout leader in the Grove City Area for many years and she provided caregiving for many individuals in the area.

In her early years, she was a secretary at Grove City Area School District from 1958 to 1962.

She is survived by three daughters, Martha (Russell “Joe”) Brooks, Mary (Ken) Kelly and Marian (Eric) Mariacher; three grandchildren, Michael Brooks, Mairka and Daniel Mariacher; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Patterson.

Emeline was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; and three brothers, Norman, Charles and Blain Patterson.

MCCOY — Visitation for Emeline E. McCoy, who died Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, Grove City.

The funeral will follow at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Prairie Cemetery.
