Louis Heasley Jr.
Louis E. Heasley Jr., 89, of Butler passed away Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at his residence while surrounded by his family and friends.
Born Jan. 6, 1936, in Butler, he was a son of the late Louis E. Heasley Sr. and Marie (Brophy) Heasley.
He was a graduate of Butler High School, Class of 1953, and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
He was also a member of the PA Nursery Association, Butler County Farm Bureau and Summit Township Sportsman Club. He was a former Summit Township supervisor and served in the Army Reserves.
Louis enjoyed tractors, hunting, camping, ATV riding, traveling with his wife and friends, and horseback riding.
He was president and owner of Heasley’s Nurseries; he was an accredited nurseryman.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Jane E. (Millen) Heasley; children, Linda M. (Kenneth) Cranmer, Lisa A. Shoop and Leanna S. (Timothy) Ashe; grandchildren, Eric D. (Tricia) Green, Chad R. (Chrissy) Green, Andrew L. Cranmer, Nickolas R. Ashe and Sarah Beth (Michael) Ashe Brown; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary E. Strobel; and two nephews and a niece.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, LuAnn C. Green.
HEASLEY — Friends of Louis E. Heasley, Jr., who died Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 East Cunningham St., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler.
Private interment will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
