SV secondary campus remote for second day

Seneca Valley School District said seventh through 12th grade students will have a second remote learning day Thursday, Feb. 27.

The school district said in a news release the district’s plumbing contractor needs additional time to complete the necessary gas line repair on the secondary campus.

Students on Seneca Valley’s secondary campus were already shifted to remote classes on Wednesday after a gas leak was detected outside of the district’s senior high school building in Jackson Township. Peoples Gas said at the time the buildings and ground on the secondary campus were safe, but service restoration would not be completed in time for classes Wednesday.

Grades seven through 12 will follow a delayed start schedule again. Other grades and activites will have normal schedules.
