Henry ‘Hank’ Clauser
Henry E. “Hank” Clauser, 95, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 6, 1930, in Butler, he was a son of the late Eugenio and Amelia “Mae” Righi Clauser.
Hank was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was the former chief of the City of Butler Police Department. He retired July 1, 1985, with 28 years’ service.
Hank enjoyed sweets and coffee, storytelling and golf; and he especially loved eating at Ponderosa Steakhouse and meeting his old friends, “The Southside Boys,” every Friday at Mac’s Route 8 Cafe.
He is survived by one son, Eugene Clauser, of Butler; one sister, Mary Ann Kohler, of Fairfield, Calif.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Hank was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anne M. DiFoggi Clauser, whom he married June 20, 1955, and who passed away May 13, 2015; one brother, Bruno Clauser; and one sister, Lenora Schreffler.
CLAUSER — There was no visitation, and funeral services were private for Henry E. “Hank” Clauser, who died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025.
