SRU men fall in PSAC tourney
The 2024-25 season came to an end Monday for the Slippery Rock University men’s basketball team.
The Rock ended up on the short end of a 69-67 decision against visiting Indiana (Pa.) University in the first round of the PSAC Tournament.
SRU opened the game with an 18-5 run, but struggled for the rest of the first half, leading 29-25 at the break.
Jomo Goings and Day Waters both scored 20 points for SRU (15-14) while Maceo Austin finished with a double-double of 15 points and 12 boards.
Kymani Merraro, a freshman, scored a game-high 25 points for the Crimson Hawks (14-15).
The Rock defeated IUP twice in the regular season.
