One second and then zero. Karly Rhoads, Kourtney Rhoads, Ali Doyle, Sarah Cessar and Adele Campbell stormed the court. They jumped. They hugged. They screamed. Finally, they were able to release the emotion of three years of close calls and near misses. Finally, the Slippery Rock High School girls basketball team was District 10 champion again on March 6, 2010.

Slippery Rock scored 10 straight points in the first two minutes of the second half on its way to a 59-40 win over Sharon at Slippery Rock University’s Morrow Field House in the Class AAA title game. The school district became District 10 champions for the first time in three years.
