Jacquelyn “Jackee” Rotan, 38, of Butler, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. As Jackee crossed over, she was greeted with her infectious smile by her loving grandparents, Wilbur and Mary Alice.

She was born in Butler on May 13, 1986, and was the daughter to Richard (Angela) Rotan and Marlene (Smallwood) Grant, and Duane Grant Sr.

Jackee graduated from Butler High School in 2004 and was employed as a caregiver. She enjoyed reading, writing, art and cooking. Jackee was known for being loving, caring, encouraging, very happy and a huge animal lover. She was a good friend to all and a good sister. Jackee loved life, she loved her family and loved hard.

Jackee is the beloved wife of Bruce Turner; sister of Laura Rotan, Keirstin Covington, Rosamary Grant, Jessie Mickens and Duane Grant Jr.; and granddaughter of Thomas (Nadine) Covington. She also is survived by her aunts, Shelley Smallwood Cook and Rose Rotan; great-aunts, Odessa Conway, Hazel Conway Sheffield and Barbara Conway; uncles, Stephen Smallwood, Eric Cook, Ronnie Rotan and David (Cathy) Covington; cousins, Ariel and Amari Smallwood, Zachary (Natalie) Smallwood, Cassy and Courtland-James, Eric and Charlie Cook, Angela and Brielle Smith; her godsons, Marion and DeShaun; her godparents, Pete Carter and Shelley Cook; her dog, Tugger; and her cat, Boots. Jackee is forever loved by Diane, Autumn, Beth, Catina, Brandi, Lisa, Mandy and a host of other close friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilbur (Mary Alice Conway) Smallwood and Harry (Marva) Rotan; and her dog, Logan.

ROTAN — Friends and family of Jacquelyn “Jackee” Rotan, who died Tuesday, March 4, 2025, will be received from 1 to 3 and 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2025, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home. The family asks you to wear pink in honor of Jackee.
