So many different endings

Just like the board game Clue, the stage musical adaptation features colorful characters, wacky weapons and a slew of rooms you might find in a mansion estate.

Plus, “Clue the Musical” also has numerous different endings, depending on what cards are drawn at the very beginning of the show.

“At some point at the beginning of the show, three volunteers from the audience will come up and Mr. Boddy will have each of them choose a card from each deck,” said Laura Crago, director of “Clue the Musical.” “There’s certain dialogues that some of the actors will do or won’t do whether they are the murderer or not. Every night it’s different as far as the outcome.”

“Clue the Musical” is a direct adaptation of the board game, and features eight characters from the game, including Mr. Boddy, Mrs. Peacock and Professor Plum. Crago described it as a fun, campy musical, with songs based on items and rooms found in the classic game.

“It’s literally like the game Clue,” Crago said. “And everyone is bringing a little of their own personality to each character.”

“Clue the Musical” runs about 90 minutes, with no intermission. The production shows at 7:30 p.m. March 21, 22, 28 and 29, and at 3 p.m. March 23. For tickets, visit mtgbutler.org.
