3 homes at Timberbrook Court damaged in Saturday fire
A vehicle fire Saturday evening, March 15, spread to a multifamily structure in Zelienople’s Timberbrook Court, damaging three homes.
According to the Harmony Fire District’s deputy fire chief Rob Reed, the fire had already spread to the structure when fire departments arrived at the scene.
His crew was returning to the station from another call, when it was dispatched around 9 p.m. to Timberbrook Court. He said a caller reported a porch on fire that had began melting the siding of a six-condo dwelling.
He said by the time they left the station, police had upgraded the call to a structure fire.
Reed said all dwelling occupants were evacuated, and about four people and a cat were evacuated from the three affected units. He said the fire spread fast, but no injuries were reported.
Fire crews were on scene about three hours, Reed said. The cause of the fire is under investigation by state police fire marshals.
The SAFER Group and Beaver County’s Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department and New Sewickley Fire District also responded.
