Tractor-trailer, vehicle collide near Mars Area High School

An ambulance took one person to the hospital for evaluation following a crash Tuesday, March 18, between a tractor-trailer and a car along Route 228 near Mars Area High School.
Traffic slowed along the road as first responders responded to the crash, reported at about 2:40 p.m. The road was briefly closed at the intersection of Route 228 and Three Degree Road, and motorists in the area were asked to seek alternate routes.
Sean Sokolowski, assistant chief of the Adams Area Fire District, said police will investigate the cause of the crash.
He said the truck driver appears appeared uninjured, and he suspects there are no serious injuries as a result of the crash.
