Brown

Nellie Jane Weinel Brown, 101, of Evans City, went to be with the Lord Jesus Sunday, March 16, 2025.

Born Nov. 19, 1923, in Leechberg, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Nellie Ashbaugh Weinel.

Nellie worked as a nanny prior to her marriage to the late Eugene L. Brown in 1943. Nellie was a homemaker and in her free time enjoyed reading, cooking, making pies, feeding birds and watching nature.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Donna Graham (Dale) of Renfrew, Barbara Brown of Mars and Eugene Brown Jr. (Barb) of Evans City; her sister, Margaret Floyd of Apollo; her grandson, David Graham (Kory) of Knoxville, Tenn.; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nellie was preceded in death by her brothers, Chuck, Bob, Bill and Don Weinel; her sisters, Sally Ohara and Florence Lemon Palmer; and her granddaughter, Laura Graham.

BROWN — Services for Nellie Jane Weinel Brown, who died Sunday, March 16, 2025, will be held privately by the family.

Nellie will be laid to rest at Butler County Memorial Park.

Arrangements were entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
