The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced an 11-foot width restriction on Freedom Road between Powell Road and Haine School Road from April 7 through Oct. 31.

Vehicles exceeding this width must use alternate routes as crews install temporary barriers for traffic control.

The restriction is part of an ongoing $18 million Freedom Road expansion project, which includes new lanes, widening, paving, drainage, signal upgrades and safety improvements.

The project, led by Gulisek Construction, is expected to be completed by November.
