Gary Hay
Gary Curtis Hay, 67, of Economy borough, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, while under the care of UPMC Passavant-McCandless Hospital.
Gary was born Sept. 16, 1957, in Pittsburgh, and grew up on Treesdale Orchards in Mars. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, where he provided the Christmas tree and luminary for many years. Gary enjoyed apples in all forms, cooking and baking, NASCAR, and traveling with his wife, Robin, on small getaway trips. Above all, Gary loved spending time with his family, especially cherishing his role as Pap Pap to his three grandsons.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 41 years, Robin Lindner Hay, whom he married Oct. 15, 1983; his two children, David (Sara) Hay of Pine Township and Angela (Thomas) Newcomer of Baden; his three grandsons, Landon and Lucas Hay and Thomas Newcomer; his mother, Suzanne (Fred) Zirot; his sister, Suzanne (Joe) Giangreco; and niece, Jamie Giangreco Kauble; his brother, Greg (Patricia) Hay; and his brother-in-law, George “Earnie” Lindner III.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Paul Thomas Hay; and infant brother, David P. Hay.
HAY — Friends of Gary Curtis Hay, who died Tuesday, March 18, 2025, will be received for visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 24, at BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, at Hope Lutheran Church, 8070 Rowan Road, Cranberry Township, with the Rev. Ronald Brown officiating.
Gary will be laid to rest at West Union Cemetery in Gibsonia.
