John ‘Jack’ Lees
John V. “Jack” Lees, 86, of Valencia, passed away Thursday morning, March 20, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital with his family at his side.
Born in Pittsburgh on May 24, 1938, he was the son of the late John V. and Elsie Davidson Lees Sr.
He was a 1956 graduate of Mars High School. He played baseball in Mars growing up and had been in a semipro league.
Jack was a cabinetmaker at Kitchen Fair Discount Center in Allison Park. He also raised sheep and chickens and sometimes other farm animals on his farm.
He had been a member of the Jaycees and enjoyed bowling at Mars Lanes for many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherri Pfeifer (Dennis) of Butler and Cindy Mikalauskas (Carl) of Renfrew; a son, Rodger Lees (Nancy) of Evans City; his grandchildren, Fred, Kate, Ben, Amy, Kelsey and Ashley; his great-grandchildren, Owen, Abby, Kasey, Wyatt, Colton, Declan, Noelle and Theo; his sister, Karen Ebert of Valencia; and his brother, James R. Lees (Alliene) of Mars.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda E. Baumgartel Lees, whom he married June 24, 1978, and who died July 11, 2024.
LEES — Friends of John V. “Jack” Lees, who died Thursday, March 20, 2025, are invited to a graveside service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, in Mars Cemetery, Dobson Road, Mars.
