The annual George Washington Summit, hosted by Washington’s Trail 1753, will be April 10 at the Butler Country Club.

This year’s theme — Washington & Friends, Journey to America 250 — will explore key figures who influenced Washington and Western Pennsylvania history.

Speakers are set to include historians and interpreters discussing Maj. William Trent, Christopher Gist, John Bartram, Marquis de Lafayette and Guyasuta.

The event also will feature museum displays, historical authors and a traveling Lafayette exhibit.
