College roundup: Butler, Seneca Valley grads led teams to weekend softball, volleyball wins
Butler grad and Grove City College men’s volleyball sophomore Max Gianneski had eight kills in the Wolverines’ 3-0 sweep of Bethany (set scores: 25-7, 25-16, 25-15) Saturday to improve to 6-3 this season.
Seneca grad Jocelyn McNany hit her fifth home run of the season as Penn State-Behrend softball split a Saturday doubleheader with Marietta, winning 11-6 in Game 1 and losing the second 26-10. McNany also scored a second run in the first game.
Sophomore designated player Emma Covert (Moniteau) doubled twice for Grove City softball, which swept Theil by scores of 2-1 and 10-0 Saturday.
Seneca Valley product Brady Page scored three goals in Westminster men’s lacrosse’s 11-10 triple-overtime victory over Manhattanville on Saturday.
