Joan Hart
Joan Justina Hart, of Slippery Rock, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025. She was born June 23, 1939, and was the daughter to the late Edward William Dressman and Margaret Veronica Connelly Dressman in Cumberland, Md.
Joan graduated from Ursuline High School and Ursuline College (Bellarmine University) in Louisville, Ky. She retired from the SGA Bookstore at Slippery Rock University in 2005 as an accounts payable supervisor with 25 years of service. Joan was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Slippery Rock for over 56 years. She enjoyed dancing, going to concerts, movies, travel and eating out with friends. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her three sons, Bob (Cindy) Hart of Spartanburg, S.C., Kevin (Deb) Hart of Dandridge, Tenn., and Steve (Sue) Hart of Cranberry Township; six grandchildren, Sammy Pranno of Mercer, Chris and Brian Hart of Cranberry Township, Alicia Huegel of Centennial, Colo., Chris Hart of Simpsonville, S.C., and Stephen Hart of Ottawa Hills, Ohio; and six great-grandchildren, Dexter and Jude Hart of Simpsonville, S.C., and Fitz, Lilly Grace, Addie Clara and Cillian Hart of Ottawa Hills, Ohio; and a sister, Mary Lou Lally of Nashville, Tenn.
In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her brothers, Edward Dressman of Cumberland, Md., and Joe Dressman of Sagamore Hills, Ohio; and her son, Scott Edward Hart of Slippery Rock.
HART — A Mass of Christian burial for Joan Justina Hart, who died Friday, March 21, 2025, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, at St. Faustina Parish – St. Peters Church, 670 S. Main St., Slippery Rock.
Private burial will take place at Slippery Rock Cemetery.
