Police Reports

The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

State police, Butler

March 10 — Mark A. Musser, 46, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of retail theft, theft by deception and possession of an instrument of a crime related to a Feb. 18 incident in Center Township. Police said Musser bought a prepaid Visa gift card using eight counterfeit $20 bills.

March 10 — Keith A. Wellman, 43, of Chicora, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault related to a March 8 incident in Chicora. Police said Wellman threw a glass cup at a woman. Police said the cup shattered upon impact nearby and gave the woman a laceration on a finger on her left hand.

March 10 — Frank E. Frisco, 34, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of terroristic threats and simple assault related to a Jan. 3 incident. Police said Frisco put his hands around a woman’s neck and threatened her.

Jackson Twp

March 7 — Evan M. Olszak, 33, of Evans City, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts related to a Feb. 21 incident. Police said Olszak had a blood alcohol content of 0.221%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.

March 3 — Sharon F. Hart, 67, of Fombell, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts related to a Feb. 12 incident in Zelienople. Police said Hart had a blood alcohol content of 0.24%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
