Lauretta A. Hanchosky, 87, of Butler, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 22, 2025, while under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.

Born Sept. 28, 1937, in New Kensington, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Agnes (Laskavitz-Smith) Clever.

Lauretta was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Catholic Church. She greatly enjoyed the outdoors, as she often gardened, cut the grass, took walks and admired the wildlife. She was also fond of puzzles and loved her dogs. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Lauretta leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Joe (Diane) Hanchosky and John (Karen) Hanchosky; and her grandchildren, Ryan, Kristen (Brad), Tyler and Anthony.

In addition to her parents, Lauretta was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T. Hanchosky Jr., whom she married Oct. 21, 1961; her grandson, Matthew Hanchosky; and her sister, Louise Jenkins.

HANCHOSKY — A Mass of Christian burial for Lauretta A. Hanchosky, who died Saturday, March 22, 2025, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 27, at All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler, with the Rev. John Baver officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lauretta’s honor to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, https://hillman.upmc.com, or to a charity of your choice supporting ALS research.

Arrangements have been entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew
