Frank ‘Red’ Davis Jr.

Frank E. “Red” Davis Jr., 86, of Zelienople, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, while under the care of UPMC Passavant-Cranberry.

Born May 16, 1938, in Waynesburg, he was the son of the late Frank E. Sr. and Hazel (Seals) Davis.

He worked at Penn Power for 37 years as a lineman and supervisor. Red was a member of the Masons, at Harmony Lodge No. 429 F&AM. He was a car enthusiast and was always meticulous with his work. Red also enjoyed golfing and camping at Pymatuning. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 957 in Harmony, where he bowled in their Moose League and coached their softball team. Above all, Red had a heart of gold seen by all who met him.

Red leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Patsy L. Davis, whom he married June 27, 1987; his children, Robert E. (Theresa) Davis, James S. (Judi) Davis, Christopher M. (Becky) Kline and Amy L. Kline; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Heather, Robert and Angie; his great-grandchildren, Harper, Brody and Bailie; and his sister, Cindy (Chester) Ekis.

In addition to his parents, Red was preceded in death by his sisters, Carol Wolfe and Susan Keogler.

DAVIS — A celebration of life service for Frank E. “Red” Davis Jr., who died Tuesday, March 25, 2025, will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Red’s honor to the Circle of Friends Choir, www.acofchoirs.com/donate1.html.

Arrangements have been entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
