Miller Minutes: ‘No shortage of goodwill in Butler’

Miller Minutes with Molly Miller

This week’s run of events has me asking if Christmas can still be considered the season of giving.

With temperatures rising, it seems more and more fundraisers are popping up in and around the county. The standout events this weekend both happen to be for the good of others, and I couldn’t be more proud of our community for that.

We have no shortage of goodwill in Butler. This is evidenced by the countless charity organizations you can join, from Rotary to Soroptomist International, and many more. We give our time, talent and treasure like it’s the most natural thing in the world, and we are always looking for ways to help out.

While these fundraisers serve a higher purpose, they’re also a rip-roaring good time. And, they allow you to get to know your neighbors a little better. I’d encourage you to get out this weekend and support one of these causes with the goal to “kill two birds with one stone” (or in this case, three stones). Have fun, make friends and ask how you can get involved.

And, as always, maybe even see a show, since there are plenty of those running as well.
