Motorcycle rider flown to hospital following crash in Summit Township
A motorcycle rider was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital following a crash Thursday, March 27, in Summit Township.
According to the Butler County Emergency Dispatch Center, a caller reported the crash just after 11 p.m. in the 300 block of Mitchell Hill Road, and the bike was down and its rider was unresponsive in the middle of the road.
The Herman Volunteer Fire Company and East Butler Ambulance Service responded, and a LifeFlight emergency medical helicopter was dispatched to a landing zone near the crash site.
The ambulance took the rider to the helicopter, which arrived at Allegheny General Hospital at 12:01 a.m. Friday.
