Ralph F. Claypool III, 61, of Butler, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

He was born in Butler on Jan. 13, 1964, to the late Ralph Claypool Jr. and Mary Hartle.

Ralph earned his GED diploma and served in the U.S. Navy. He was known for being funny, the center of the party and was always the cook for the holidays. Ralph enjoyed cutting down trees, jumping off roofs, fishing and spending time with his grandkids. He was a loving husband and father, and those closest to him called him Ralphie.

Ralph was the beloved husband of Harriett (Selfridge) Claypool since their marriage on April 7, 1992; father of Tonya, Cora Beth, Raylene (Ricky Hilins), Faith and Casey Claypool, Jessica White and Hope Selfridge; brother of Tim (Sarah) Claypool, Pauline (Shawn) Wilinski, Mary Claypool and Anna King; grandfather of 26; and great-grandfather of four. He is also survived by his niece and nephew, Ellen (Austin) Geibel and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer McCabe; his siblings, Leroy and Betty Mae Claypool; and one grandson, Michael Claypool.

CLAYPOOL — Family and friends of Ralph F. Claypool III, who died Tuesday, March 25, 2025, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler, PA 16001. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
