U.S. should not give in to Putin
In the March 23 edition, George Pikoulas' letter claimed that he was proud that President Donald Trump stopped aid to Ukraine. I assume he would have praised Neville Chamberlin for his very similar concessions to Adolf Hitler over Sudetenland just before World War II and the attack on Poland.
Or we are seeing how Trump would end the war in 24 hours; he would just concede all territory to Putin in hopes he doesn't just continue his desire to have Russia regain all the territory of the former Soviet Union.
Any one could have done that “negotiated deal” for a cease fire; maybe Alaska might be Trump's next concession for peace at any price.
And there is a deal pending that would compensate the USA by minerals from Ukraine. But Mr. Pikoulas has no sense of this well-known historical blunder or knowledge of the value of the rare earth minerals in Ukraine.
