Virginia ‘Ginny’ Manning

Virginia “Ginny” Ann Manning, 66, of Cabot, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025.

She was born Jan. 5, 1959, in Coraopolis, and grew up in Penn Hills. She was the daughter of Charles Carroll Manning and Pauline Bills Manning.

Ginny graduated from Penn Hills High School in 1977, and was a second generation University of Pittsburgh graduate, completing her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts during 1981.

She previously gained retail and corporate work experience, which helped her transition to starting her own business based on her lifelong love of doll collecting. Ginny was the owner and operator of Manning’s Little People doll shop in Butler and Saxonburg.

In retirement, she was a substitute teacher at South Butler County School District and managed buying and selling collectible dolls online for the past 25 years.

Ginny enjoyed traveling, baking, flower gardening, music, dancing, shopping and spending time with her family, friends and animals the most.

Surviving are her daughter, Carly (Jonathan Sandherr) Conterno of Cabot; and son, Cole Conterno of Cabot; two sisters, Lynn (Rodney) Gibbons of Asheville, N.C., and Cheryl (Phil) Wilson of Bedford, Pa.; and her beloved pets: dogs, Jett, Lulu and Lily; and kittens, Leo, Pearl and Jade.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard Adams.

MANNING — There will be no public services for Virginia “Ginny” Ann Manning, who died Saturday, March 1, 2025.

Memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society.
