Harrisville Community Band performing next week
Harrisville Community Band’s spring concert is set for 7 p.m. April 11 at the Harrisville Volunteer Fire Hall, 313 E. Mercer St. in Harrisville.
The band is under the direction of Jim Jaskowak, of Jackson Center, who is a retired music educator from the Grove City Area School District. The Master of Ceremonies is Vic Karcher, of Grove City.
Some of the selections the band will play at the free event include, “Polka Party,” “Hallelujah Chorus,” “Hands Across The Sea March,” “Highlights From The Wizard of Oz” and “Inspector Gadget.”
The band currently is in its 60th year of presenting free concerts. Refreshments will be served at intermission. An offering will be accepted.
