How to watch: Mars grad Carter Schade to play for Penn State in Frozen Four

Mars graduate Carter Schade, a junior at Penn State, will be playing for the Nittany Lions’ men’s hockey team in the Frozen Four. No. 12 Penn State (22-13-4) will play No. 8 Boston University (23-13-2) at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Mo., in the national semifinals on April 10. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2/ESPN+ at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Schade has played in 35 games for the Nittany Lions this season, totaling nine assists and 55 shots. Penn State reached the stage by downing No. 4 Maine 5-1 and No. 7 UConn 3-2 in overtime during the Allentown Regionals portion of the tournament.

Nittany Lions sophomore Matthew DiMarsico, a Wexford native, scored the game-winner for his team in the regional final, pushing Penn State to its first-ever Frozen Four appearance.

Schade previously played for the Lincoln Stars of the United States Hockey League, putting up 47 points and a plus-23 rating in over 100 games.
