Pittsburgh Mills charged with causing public nuisance
The Pittsburgh Mills property in Frazer Township, Allegheny County has become a public nuisance, according to charges filed against the owners and operators on Wednesday, April 2.
Pitt Galleria Realty LLC was charged by the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office with one misdemeanor count of creating a public nuisance, following 38 reports made to the Frazer Township Police Department relating to the deteriorating road conditions since 2021, according to the criminal complaint.
The complaint says there are numerous large potholes along Galleria Drive, Pittsburgh Mills Blvd., and six other roads in the area.
It accuses the owners of impeding emergency services’ access to the property, resulting in hazardous conditions for civilians and emergency responders.
The complaint indicates numerous businesses surrounding the mall pay into a fund designated for maintaining the roads.
The investigation in this matter is ongoing, according to the district attorney’s office.
