Wilbert McNeish

McNeish

Wilbert “Bill” Dewitt McNeish, 80, of North Washington sadly passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, after an extended illness.

He was born Dec. 25, 1944, in Grove City. As a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired PennDOT worker, Bill was loved and known by many. Whether it be at his house hosting a boccie ball party, at the Beer Garden having a drink and watching all Pittsburgh sporting events, or sitting at Dale’s garage with friends who became family, he could always be found with a smile on his face and a cigar in his hand. And despite being born on Christmas, St Patrick’s Day was his favorite holiday!

Mr. McNeish is survived by his brother, Merle (Chris) McNeish; his sister, Kay (Neil) Carter of Arizona; two sons, William McNeish and Brian McNeish (Andrea); daughter in law, Melissa McNeish; three grandchildren, William (Jodi), Lindsay and Megan (Mitch); as well as seven great-grandchildren.

It brings great comfort to know that Bill is now reunited with his beloved son, Robert (Bobby) McNeish, who passed away in 2020. Also receiving him in Heaven is his wife Susie; granddaughter, Trista; his parents, Francis and Virginia; brother, Gary; and sister, Judy.

MCNEISH — Per his request, there will be no funeral services for Wilbert “Bill” Dewitt McNeish, who died Saturday, April 5, 2025. A celebration of life service will be planned for a future date.

Cremation services have been entrusted to WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, West Sunbury.
