George Wardle Jr.
George E. Wardle Jr., 86, of Butler, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Butler on Oct. 6, 1938, to the late George and Mary (Groves) Wardle.
George graduated from Butler High School in 1956, before going on to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree. He was a journeyman electrician for Local Union No. 10, before becoming an estimator, then former co-owner of Right Electric Inc., until retiring in 2016. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. George enjoyed working in the yard, hunting, golfing and fishing, as well as spending time with his loving family.
He is survived by his four daughters, Terri (Richard) Bonnett, Linda Graham, Carla Wardle and Michele Wardle; his two sons, George M. Wardle and Matthew (Megan) Wardle; his eight grandchildren; his four great-grandchildren; his sister, Romaine Bumpass; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Wardle; as well as by his stepsister, Phyllis Price.
WARDLE — Per the wishes of the family, there will be no services for George E. Wardle Jr., who died Sunday, April 6, 2025.
