Jennifer Stiefel

Stiefel

Jennifer Lynn Stiefel, 39, of Portersville, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025, while under the care of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital’s neurotrauma intensive care unit team.

Born a micro preemie Nov. 29, 1985, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Robert James Stiefel of Portersville and Beth Ann Gallagher of Ellwood City.

Jennifer graduated from Riverside High School, then received her associate degree from Beaver County Community College. She continued her studies at Clarion University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She worked many years in various early childhood education centers, loving every child she taught. Most recently, Jennifer was employed by Cadance Inc. in Cranberry Township.

Jennifer also is survived by her sister, Shannon (Jeffrey) Swartzlander of North Carolina; and her brother, Zachary (Kristina) Stiefel of Fombell; her nieces, Abigale, Alaina, Caroline and Naomi; and her nephew, Colson; her dog, Bindie; and her cat, Tela. She also is survived by her paternal grandfather, James Stiefel; maternal grandparents, John and Mary Lou Gallagher; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jennifer was handed many challenges in life, yet she still shined on. Jennifer was full of faith in her Lord Jesus Christ, love for life and adventure. Her smile warmed your heart and would light the room around you.

She loved her pets, her family and friends. She found joy sharing her love and knowledge with the very young, attending Christian music concerts near and far, tackling yard work, and making plans to visit the next waterfall — no matter how far she had to hike — Bindie always by her side. Out of a list of over 300 waterfalls she planned to visit, in local, state and national parks, she was able to reach over 220.

From the infant born too soon to the young adult taken too soon, she touched more lives than we will ever know and made the world a better place. Jennifer was full of innocence, kindness and had a heart of gold. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Jennifer will live on through those she was able to help through organ donation.
