Marilyn J. Burr Marbell, 69, of Butler, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at her residence.

Born March 22, 1956, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Hartzell Burr.

In her younger years, she was a prep cook at Morgan’s Diner and Red Lobster, both in Butler.

She enjoyed springtime planting and taking care of her flowers annually, watching birds and soap operas, flea marketing on Sundays, word searches and coloring books. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with and talking to her dear friends, Henry Astemborski and Tom Rettig.

She is survived by her daughter, Shelly (Steve) Wilson of East Brady; her grandchildren, Landon, Leah and Alex Wilson; and her siblings, Ron Burr, Bill Burr, Donna McCormick and Jeannie Lutz Mahood.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mindy Marbell.

MARBELL — There will be no public services for Marilyn J. Burr Marbell, who died Sunday, April 6, 2025.

Cremation services were provided by RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 387 Main St., Prospect.
